Kos has the details. First Republican Allen submitted an amendment written by Senator Dick Durbin, with only a single word changed, as his own. Now Republican Burns claims to have co-sponsored an amendment that was sponsored solely by Democrat Senator Max Baucus.
Are Republicans really so desperate to prove that they've done something that they'll lie about stuff that is clearly part of the record?
Why don't the Republicans, WHO CONTROL CONGRESS, just start passing intelligent legislation on their own??!??
